LORD LOWTHER'S BARB MARE f 1800c
Dick Andrews Colt (GB) b c 1814 Dick Andrews (GB)

Lord Lowther's Barb Mare
The mare possibly belonged to Sir James Lowther (1736-1802), 5th bt of Lowther, 1st Viscount Lowther and 1st Earl Lonsdale, who was known as the "bad earl" but owned such good horses as Jason (gr c 1749 Old Standard), Ascham (br c 1759 Regulus) and Mirza (b c 1749 Godolphin Arabian).

Dick Andrews Colt
Lord Lowther's Dick Andrews Colt won the 1816 Woodcote Stakes for two year olds at Epsom, beating Mr Blake's Selina, Mr Sadler's Marmion Colt and Mr Cussan's Eaton Filly.
