Fairfax Harrsion notes that the American Stud Book credits Kitty Fisher* with 3 colts and 3 fillies who should have been credited to her descendants. Also many of her descendants were confused with each other. In any case, she made a significant contribution to American bloodstock. "The racing family she thus founded persisted into the eighteen fifties in the noted Doswell stud in Hanover County, Va ; whence the blood eventually found its way to Maryland and New Jersey; where were bred most of the winners in whose right Gerry (p 190) enrolled *Kitty Fisher as a Matriarch" [E1:143].
