Lubra

Conflict exists over the dam of Lubra, who was initially said to be from Lady Godina, then later from Lady Kadina. Lady Godina (1846) is said to be by Hercules from an unknown mare. She was bred in New South Wales and sent to South Australia in 1846. Lady Godina was the dam of Skyscraper (sire of Kingfisher, winner of the AJC Epsom Handicap) by Moonraker. However, in Volume 3 of the Australian Stud Book, it was noted that Lubra "may be from Lady Kadina, there being a brood mare so named in SA".
