breeder is unknown, she was owned by Major Barak G. Thomas of Lexington,
Kentucky, and he thought so highly of her that he named his Dixiana Farm
for her. "One of the most noted pre-Civil War matrons in
Kentucky," she was the dam of Florac (dam of Florimore, Kentucky
Oaks winner), Herzog, Fireball, Aureola, War Jig, and War Reel by War
Dance.
