Described as an elegant dark bay with good conformation, he was sent to Russia after racing successfully in Germany. He won 12 of 20 starts, including the Derby del DDR, the Warsaw Stayer's Cup, and the SSSR Cup. He placed 6 times. In the stud he sired Effekt (c. 1959) who won the Priz im M. I. Kalinina, and the Oslo International Cup. Among his good daughters are Gaphel (b.f. 1960), Graphirovka (b.f. ) and Afina (bl.f. 1964). Faktotum was noted for passing on his good looks and racing class, and was among the leading sires. |
