Osiris ch.c. 1926 (Papyrus - Most Beautiful, Great Sport) Family 2-t.

Bred in England he won 6 races, including the Woodcote Stakes, the Newbury Spring Cup, the Earl of Sefton Plate and the Sunningdale Handicap. He placed 2nd in the Queen Anne Stakes and 3rd in both the Molcomb Stakes and the Leicestershire Handicap.

Imported by Colonel R. S. McLaughlin of Oshawa, Ontario, he was later given to Mr. R. James Speers of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Osiris was Leading Sire in 1938, 1940, 1942 and 1947. Among his notable progeny are:

Curwen (b.g. 1937) winner of the Orpen Memorial Handicap, and Durham Cup Handicap. He placed 2nd in the Grey Stakes Handicap, and the King's Plate, and third in the Prince of Wales' Plate.

Cyperac (ch.c. 1941) winner of the Coronation Stakes.

Fort Garry (ch.g. 1943) winner of the Ascot Derby, Alberta Derby, R. F. Leighton Memorial Handicap, Western Canada Handicap twice, Whittier Park Handicap twice, Speers Handicap. He placed 2nd in the British Columbia Championship, Speers Handicap, Polo Park Handicap, Western Canada Handicap, and the Leighton Memorial Handicap. He placed 3rd in the Seagram Cup Handicap and the Whittier Park Handicap.

High Bluff (ch.g. 1943) winner of the Winnipeg Futurity and the British Columbia Futurity.

Iribelle (b.f. 1942) 3rd runner up in the Plate Trial, and dam of Queen's Plate winner Canadiana (b.f. 1950) and King Edward Gold Cup winner Bennington (br.g. 1942). She was also 2nd dam of Queen's Plate winner Victoria Park (b.c. 1957).

Isis (ch.f. 1947) winner of the Princess Elizabeth Stakes and 2nd in the Canadian Oaks.

Maureen K. (br.f. 1944) winner of the Canadian Oaks and 2nd in the Speers Handicap.

Mona Bell (ch.f. 1935) winner of the Breeders Stakes, Maple Leaf Stakes, and the Orpen Memorial Handicap. She placed 2nd in the King's Plate, New England Handicap and the McIntyre and Loudon Memorial Handicap. She placed 3rd in the Long Branch Championship.

Silvos (ch.c. 1937) winner of the Orpen Memorial Handicap, Hamilton Handicap, Autumn Handicap, and the Bryan and O'Hara Memorial Handicap twice. He placed 2nd in the Breeders' Stakes and the William Hendrie Memorial Handicap. He placed 3rd in the Orpen Memorial Handicap, Canadian Championship Stakes and the King Edward Gold Cup Handicap.

Sir Berrill (ch.c. 1944) winner of the Canadian Derby, British Columbia Championship, R. F. Leighton Memorial Handicap, S. W. Randall Plate, Western Championship Stakes and the Whittier Park Handicap. He placed 2nd in the Longacres Derby and the C. A. Cotterell Memorial Handicap. He placed 3rd in the Speers Handicap, Spokane Derby and the Governor's Handicap.
